Frequently asked questions
Everything merchants ask before installing PulseAsk — data access, checkout performance, GDPR, plans, and migration.
What data does PulseAsk access, and why?
PulseAsk reads orders (order ID, order value, date) and writes metafields. Reading orders is what links each survey answer to real revenue, so the dashboard can show revenue and AOV attributed to each channel instead of just response counts. Writing metafields lets PulseAsk tag each order with the channel the customer selected, so you can use that answer elsewhere in Shopify.
Survey responses are stored with the order and customer ID they belong to. Nothing else is read, and nothing is sold or shared. Full details in the privacy policy.
Will the survey slow down my checkout or storefront?
No. PulseAsk uses Shopify Checkout UI extensions, which render natively inside Shopify's own thank-you and order status pages. There is no script added to your theme, no third-party JavaScript injected into checkout, and no impact on your storefront. The widget is lightweight and shows one question at a time.
Is PulseAsk GDPR compliant? What happens to my data if I uninstall?
PulseAsk implements Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks: customers/data_request (export a customer's data), customers/redact (delete a customer's data), and shop/redact (delete the store's data). When you uninstall and Shopify sends the deletion request, your store's data is deleted. See the privacy policy for the specifics of what is stored and for how long.
Can customers skip the survey?
Yes. The survey is dismissible and never blocks the page — customers can answer, ignore it, or close it. Asking right after checkout gets very high response rates without forcing anyone.
Where exactly does the survey appear?
In two places: the thank-you page shown right after checkout, and the order status page customers revisit to check their order. Both are rendered through Shopify Checkout UI extensions, so the survey matches your checkout's look with zero theme changes. Setup details in Getting started.
Does the survey work in languages other than English?
The widget ships in English and French. You can also edit the question and answer options yourself in the survey editor, so you can write them in any language you like.
What are the limits of the Free plan?
The Free plan includes 1 survey question, 100 responses per month, and the basic dashboard. Unlimited questions and responses, conditional follow-up questions, CSV export/import, and order tagging start with the Growth plan at $29/month. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial — see Plans & billing.
Can I migrate my survey history from Delighted or Fairing?
Yes. PulseAsk has a CSV import with simple column mapping, built for migrating history from Delighted or Fairing. Delighted shut down on June 30, 2026 and customer data was deleted after the shutdown — so if you have a Delighted export, keep it safe and import it into PulseAsk. CSV import is available on the Growth and Pro plans. Guides: Import data from Delighted or Fairing and the Delighted migration page.
I manage several stores — can I use PulseAsk as an agency?
Yes. The Pro plan ($79/month) includes multi-store access designed for agencies, plus advanced segmentation by product, AOV, or customer tag, and a weekly email report you can forward to clients.
How do I get support?
Email anadvisory.fr@gmail.com — support is handled directly by the developer. Include your store's .myshopify.com domain and a short description of the issue. For common problems, check the docs and Troubleshooting first.
